Azmin Ghahreman, Chef / CEO, was born in Iran and educated in Geneva, Switzerland, where he received his formal culinary training in French cuisine at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Chef Azmin has lived and worked all over the globe. He has served as the executive chef at international 5-star hotels and through the years, has created several of his own highly successful culinary-inspired businesses. He has gained the reputation of being the leader in Southern California for innovative culinary concepts from global cuisine at Sapphire Laguna Restaurant in Laguna Beach to creative cutting edge special events by Sapphire Catering. In addition to providing world-class cuisine, he is just as committed to bettering childhood nutrition, and in 2008 founded Sapphire at School. The innovative school lunch program currently partners with nine schools in Orange County and prepares fresh wholesome and flavorful meals to more than 5,500 students daily. Sapphire at Work redefines dining in the workplace providing a full-service culinary experience on the premises of the business with upscale customized dining to fit the unique office culture by offering healthy, hand-prepared meals for employees and clients to enjoy. Sapphire at Work also offers fresh prepared foods delivered daily to corporate offices throughout Orange County.
His international-oriented cooking styles and avid interest in utilizing the best ingredients available distinguish him on the culinary map. He is known for saying, “the sky is not the limit.”
